Standing Desk

This simple desk works well with a laptop computer for a clean and elegant work area. The top has a hand shaped edge with a decisive line but with a softeness that is pleasing to the touch. The front edge of the desk and the base have a gentle curve that goes nicely with the edge detail of the top. The legs are substantial with pegged mortise and tenon joints. This piece has a cherry top and ash legs. Due to the decline of Ash trees, Maple could be used in its place if a similar contrast is desired.
