Erin's Sideboard

This is a custom sideboard that was based on the Dayton Sideboard on my website. This one is made of cherry with black milk paint, a wipe on poly sealer followed by a linseed oil paste wax. It is built of all solid wood with joinery that allows for seasonal movement of the wood. Hand cut dovetails on the drawers and a hand shaped thumbnail edge on the top a examples of traditional details on the piece. The inside of the cabinets are painted with Barn Red milk paint sealed with shellac. The drawer sides back and bottoms are pine and sealed with shellac. The top drawer was designed to hold a silverware divider and the rest of the drawers graduate from 6" tall to about 9" tall. All of my case pieces are custom so the customer can get what fits their needs.
