Five Drawer Dresser

These photos are pre-digital and came out a bit red. Take a look at my Lee sideboard or the McCoy sideboard to get a better idea of wood color. Also remember that cherry darkens with age.

This Five-Drawer Dresser is one of two that I made for a client. I will build dressers to your desired dimentions or I can give you suggestions for sizes. It features hand-cut dovetails on all of the drawers and on the cross supports of the dresser face. The pulls are ebonized cherry. The top has a hand-planed edge profile and the side panels are book matched. (each panel is made up of one piece of wood which is sliced down the middle, opened up like a book and joined together to form a very symetrical grain pattern. Dressers of this type can be ordered in varied sizes and woods to meet your needs. The side panel shown is a traditional flat panel. It is available with the traditional raised panel as shown on the Side by Side Dresser.
